How do I know if my treatment will be paid?

Genki cannot provide upfront cost approval, as we do not have the legal authorization to do so. Squarelife, our managing partner responsible for claims, can provide an upfront guarantee, but only by having access to a complete treatment plan and diagnosis that allows for a proper medical assessment if the treatment is according to the insurance conditions. These documents should be provided by the customer when requesting an upfront guarantee for a future treatment.

Genki Traveler covers new and acute illnesses or accidents that occur during your insurance period. Coverage includes only medically necessary treatments.

βœ” Consistent with your diagnosis and symptoms
βœ” The most appropriate level of care
βœ” Performed for an appropriate duration

For outpatient care, you must pay upfront and submit a claim for reimbursement. Your doctor's invoice must include:

βœ” Diagnosis
βœ” Detailed breakdown of medical services
βœ” Treatment costs


⚠️ Pre-Approval for Outpatient Treatments

Some outpatient treatments require prior approval, especially high-cost or complex treatments.

βœ” For outpatient costs of €1,000 or more, you must submit a cost estimate to Squarelife at least 5 days before treatment.
βœ” Failure to get pre-approval may result in only 50% reimbursement.
