💡 What’s the deductible?

Genki Traveler includes a fixed €50 deductible per insurance case.
That means for every new medical condition or incident, the first €50 of the eligible costs are paid by you, and the insurer covers the rest.

🩺 How it works (outpatient treatment)

  1. Pay the full bill first at the clinic or pharmacy.

  2. Submit your claim through the Member Center and upload your receipts.

  3. The insurer reviews your claim and reimburses the eligible amount minus €50.

Example:
If your covered outpatient bill is €180, you pay €180 at the clinic, submit the claim, and the insurer reimburses €130 (€180 – €50 deductible).

📘 Key things to know

  • The €50 deductible applies once per insurance case, not per invoice or receipt.

  • If you have several bills for the same condition, they’re grouped together and the deductible is applied only once.

  • The deductible doesn’t apply to inpatient stays (hospital admissions handled through Emergency Assistance with direct billing).

  • If your total claim is below €50, it won’t be reimbursed since it falls under the deductible.

✈️ In short

You pay the first €50 of each new medical case. Everything above that, as long as it’s covered, is handled by your insurance.
