If you need inpatient surgery under Genki Traveler, follow this process to ensure coverage.

πŸ“ž Emergency Assistance Contact

For any planned inpatient surgery, the hospital must contact the Emergency Assistance team before admission. This is especially important for non-emergency surgeries.

MCI Assist handles inpatient stays and must be notified directly by the hospital:

πŸ“ž Phone: +34 911 599 948
πŸ“§ Email: [email protected]

You can also find emergency contact details in the Member Center under "Help".

πŸ’Έ Coverage & Payment

βœ” Medically necessary inpatient surgeries are covered.
βœ” No upfront payment required – Costs are settled directly between the hospital and the insurer.
βœ” MCI Assist will coordinate payments with the hospital.

⚠️ Important Notes & Exceptions

βœ” Special Arrangements – If the hospital requires specific billing agreements, MCI Assist will confirm the coverage details.
βœ” Sanctioned Countries – Direct billing may not be available in certain countries. In such cases, you may need to pay upfront and file a claim for reimbursement.

For any questions regarding coverage before your inpatient surgery, always check with MCI Assist in advance.

If you have any questions about coverage details, feel free to check your Member Center or contact us at [email protected] for more information! 😊
