Your home country must be a country where you are a citizen or resident on the Start Date of your Genki Traveler insurance.

Important to Know:

  • Home Country Coverage Limitations ⏳:

    • Coverage in your home country is limited to 6 weeks for medical emergencies that start within 6 weeks of arrival.

    • You must have been outside your home country for at least 4 weeks before returning to qualify for coverage. 🌎

  • Repatriation ✈️:

    • Repatriation to your home country is covered if medically necessary and must be arranged by the Emergency Assistance team. This is not enforced by the insurer but is possible if deemed necessary by the insurer and if requested.

    • If you are repatriated, coverage ends once you arrive at your home country destination. 🏑

  • USA or Canada as Home Country πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦:

    • If your home country is the USA or Canada, the 6-week limit applies separately in both countries, regardless of your region option. 🚨

  • Recommendation πŸ›‘οΈ:

    • While Genki Traveler covers emergencies in your home country, we recommend having local health coverage for more comprehensive protection, especially for extended stays.
