Your home country can be either the country of your citizenship or the country where you are residing when your Genki Traveler insurance begins.
Genki Traveler is designed for stays abroad, but limited emergency coverage also applies when you visit your home country.
🩺 How it works
You must have been outside your home country for at least 4 weeks before returning.
Coverage applies only to medical emergencies that start within 6 weeks of your arrival.
If your home country is the USA or Canada, the limit depends on your region option:
Worldwide (limited in USA/Canada): 7 days emergency-only
Worldwide: 6 weeks emergency-only
Coverage limits are per country, not shared between the USA and Canada.
Coverage limits apply per arrival.
🚑 Repatriation
If medically necessary, repatriation to your home country can be arranged and is covered when coordinated by the Emergency Assistance team.
Coverage ends as soon as you arrive in your home country.

Genki Traveler covers emergencies only while in your home country.
If you plan to stay longer, we recommend having local health insurance for complete protection.
