With Genki Explorer and Resident planned surgeries can be paid by direct payment to the hospital.

What are the important steps to take in advance?

  • Genki acts as an insurance agent, therefore, our support does not have the authority or ability to provide hospitals with guarantees of payment. This process is exclusive to the assistance provider MD Medicus.

  • Ask the hospital to contact the assistance service (MD Medicus) to request a guarantee of payment as soon as possible.

  • You can find MD Medicus contacts in the Member Center under "Help".

What information is important to MD Medicus?

  • Name and date of birth of the insured person (you)

  • Name and phone number of the attending physician/hospital

  • The (suspected) diagnosis

  • Date of the accident or when the illness started

  • Name and phone number of the contact person on site, if there is one

Please mention that you are contacting them regarding insurance PWT-120001 provided by DR-WALTER in partnership with Genki.

MD Medicus has local partners in every country worldwide. After the hospital contacts them, they will contact their local partner so the same can offer the hospital a guarantee of payment. This is a procedure that should be swift but in certain cases can take up to a few hours.

The hospital can at any time contact MD Medicus (+49 2247 922-5014) for any urgent requests.

Email: [email protected] (you can also ask them to call you instead)

If the hospital is not being cooperative or if they're denying receiving any guarantees of payment, you should contact the assistance yourself to guarantee that that information is true.
