ℹ️ This article describes the current Genki Native conditions (version "1 September 2026"), launched in late September 2026. They apply to customers who started their application once this version was live. If your insurance started earlier, your current conditions stay in place until the start of your new insurance year, when the new conditions are applied automatically. We'll email you before this happens.

Genki Native covers you in every country in the world, including countries with travel warnings. There is no maximum time limit for staying in any country, and coverage continues as long as your insurance remains active.
Specific conditions apply in two cases:
🟦 Your Countries of Nationality
Genki Native Basic: full coverage for up to 182 days per visit, provided you spent at least 91 consecutive days outside that country before arriving.
Genki Native Premium: full coverage, with no time limits.

🇺🇸 USA
Coverage is limited to a Medical Emergency that begins within 91 days of arrival, after at least 91 consecutive days outside the USA.
A 3-month waiting period applies.
Coverage continues until you are Fit to Travel, plus the following 10 days.
Limits: €250,000 (Basic) or €500,000 (Premium) per insurance year.
These conditions apply even if the USA is your country of nationality.

🇨🇦 Canada
Canada is covered like any other country. If Canada is one of your countries of nationality, the country of nationality rules above apply.
🗺️ US Territories
Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the US Minor Outlying Islands are not treated as part of the USA.
