Genki Native covers you in any country in the world without any limitations regarding travel warnings.

With Genki Native Basic:

  • Coverage in your country of citizenship is limited to 30 days and €250,000 coverage per insurance year and also limited to life-threatening emergencies & transport to a different country.

  • Coverage in the USA & Canada is also limited to 30 days and €250,000 coverage per insurance year and is limited also to life-threatening emergencies & transport to a different country. The 30 days are a combined total of the you spend in the two countries.

  • Coverage in the USA, or Canada will still be limited to 30 days and €250,000 and limited also to accidents and life-threatening emergencies even if the USA or Canada are your country of citizenship. It's not possible to upgrade coverage in the USA or Canada by switching to Genki Native Premium.

    • Autonomous US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and Minor Outlying Islands) do not belong to the same region of coverage as the USA.

With Genki Native Premium:

  • Cover in your home of citizenship is unlimited just as any other country abroad. You can stay as long as you choose without an overall maximum coverage limit. All benefits apply.

  • Coverage in the USA & Canada is still limited to 30 days and 250.000€ coverage per insurance year and also limited to life-threatening emergencies & transport to a different country.

  • If your country of citizenship is the USA or Canada coverage will still be always limited to 30 days and 250.000€ coverage per insurance year and limited also to life-threatening emergencies & transport to a different country.
There is no maximum limit for the time you can stay in any country abroad. You can stay and be covered in any country abroad if you keep the insurance active without ever needing to return to your home country.

If you exceed the 30 days stay in the USA or Canada you won't lose your insurance contract, but you will no longer be covered in the USA or Canada during that same calendar year.

If you are in a situation where you need to stay in the USA or Canada for longer than 30 days in the same insurance year we can offer you a temporary alternative of coverage through Genki Explorer, but be aware that with Genki Explorer coverage with the Worldwide limited USA & Canada coverage in both countries combined is limited to 6 weeks per 180 consecutive days for accidents and life-threatening emergencies only.

Also, with Genki Explorer you must choose which country is your home country, and the insurance can only start once you leave your home country or if you're already traveling on the insurance start date, so if the USA (or Canada) is your home country and you want to use Genki Explorer as a temporary alternative, you would have to leave the USA for a trip or be already traveling before you return to the USA.

There is no maximum limit for the time you can stay in any country abroad. You can stay and be covered in any country if you keep the insurance active without ever needing to return to your country of citizenship.
