They apply to customers who started their application once this version was live. If your insurance started earlier, your current conditions stay in place until the start of your new insurance year, when the new conditions are applied automatically. We'll email you before this happens.

Genki Native offers comprehensive pregnancy and maternity benefits, especially with the Premium variant. Coverage goes beyond medically necessary treatment to include support services such as preparation courses and postnatal care.
✅ What's Covered (Genki Native Premium)
Complications: treatment of health issues of the mother or unborn child during pregnancy
Severe complications: treatment of a life-threatening emergency of the mother or unborn child
Prenatal checkups: regular doctor visits to monitor mother and baby
Ultrasounds: imaging scans to check the baby's development and health
First-trimester screening: early check for chromosomal abnormalities
Amniocentesis: assessment of the baby's health
Preparation courses & postnatal exercises: up to €500 per pregnancy combined
Midwives & obstetricians: support from medical professionals during and after pregnancy
Childbirth: in a hospital, in a birthing center, or at home. Birthing centers are covered up to the typical costs of a hospital.
Postnatal care: checkups, guidance, and vaccinations for you and your baby after birth
Termination: medically indicated ending of a pregnancy
⏳ Waiting Period
All maternity benefits have a 12-month waiting period. This means:
Maternity coverage begins only after the first 12 months of your insurance.
Severe complications and termination in a life-threatening emergency are covered from day one, under both Basic and Premium.
🟦 Genki Native Basic
Limited to severe complications (a life-threatening emergency of the mother or unborn child) and medically indicated termination.
No other maternity benefits are included.
For the most comprehensive maternity support, Genki Native Premium is required.
