Genki Explorer's premium is calculated according to the following:

  • Your current age group

  • If you choose to have insurance with a €50 deductible (applied per insurance case), or if you choose insurance without any deductible (all claim costs can be reimbursed)

  • If you choose the worldwide option excluding the USA & Canada (you're still covered in both countries for 6 weeks per 180 consecutive days), or if you choose the worldwide option including the USA & Canada (if you choose this option you'll be covered for the same amount of time as in any other country abroad)

You can get a price and choose an option on the Explorer sign-up page.

You can travel to any country in the world:

  • Cover in your home country is limited to 6 weeks per 180 consecutive days for accidents and life-threatening emergencies.

  • Cover in the USA & Canada will be limited to 6 weeks per 180 consecutive days if you choose the Worldwide Excl/ USA & Canada insurance variant.

  • If your home country is the USA or Canada coverage will be always limited to 6 weeks per 180 consecutive days for accidents and life-threatening emergencies in your respective home country. Cover cannot be extended by choosing the Worldwide Incl/ USA & Canada variant of the insurance. Autonomous US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and Minor Outlying Islands) do not belong to the same region of coverage as the USA, so you won't have the same 6 weeks per 180-day limitation when visiting those territories.

There is no maximum limit for the time you can stay in any country abroad. You can stay and be covered in any country abroad if you keep the insurance active without ever needing to return to your home country. Just take into consideration that Genki Explorer has a maximum subscription time of 2 years.

You can start your insurance as early as tomorrow.

You can also start the insurance while already traveling but read this article to learn about the limitations of the insurance in the first 14 days.
