✈️ Medical transport & repatriation with Genki Resident

Genki Resident covers emergency medical transport and medical repatriation under specific conditions.

πŸš‘ Emergency medical transport

If you experience an emergency, transport is covered to the nearest suitable hospital that can provide the required treatment.

There is no maximum coverage limit for medically necessary emergency transport.

πŸ₯ Transport for outpatient procedures

Medical transport is also covered for certain outpatient treatments following an emergency or accident, such as:

  • Transport to and from outpatient surgery

  • Dialysis

  • Radiation therapy

  • Chemotherapy

🌍 Medical repatriation to your home country

You may request medical repatriation to your home country if:

  • The duration of the treatment justifies the request, and

  • The responsible doctor confirms you are fit to fly.

Repatriation must be coordinated with the insurer.

⚠️ Important: Contract termination

If you are medically repatriated to your home country, your Genki Resident contract terminates upon arrival.

Any follow-up treatment after returning to your home country must be covered by local insurance or the national health system.

Repatriation is optional.
You may also choose to continue treatment in the country where the emergency occurred and resume your travels once medically cleared. Follow-up treatment in other countries remains possible with prior coordination.
