🧠 Mental health & psychotherapy coverage with Genki Resident

Genki Resident provides coverage for mental health treatments, including both inpatient and outpatient care. Coverage depends on whether you have the Standard (non-Premium) or Premium variant.

πŸ₯ Inpatient psychotherapeutic treatment

  • Emergency inpatient psychotherapeutic treatment (hospitalization) is covered

  • Coverage applies for up to 4 weeks per insured event

  • This applies to both the Standard and Premium variants

πŸ’¬ Outpatient mental health care (Standard / non-Premium)

  • Initial outpatient mental health care is covered for first-time mental or psychological disorders

  • This includes up to 3 initial sessions

  • Ongoing outpatient psychotherapy is not covered under the Standard (non-Premium) variant

🧠 Outpatient psychotherapy (Premium only)

  • Full outpatient psychotherapy is covered without a session limit

  • If therapy requires 15 or more sessions, written authorization from DR-WALTER is required from the 15th session onward

  • Authorization requests should be sent to [email protected]

Before approval, DR-WALTER requires a detailed medical report from the treating psychologist or psychiatrist. This report must include:

  • Medical and psychological history

  • Diagnosis

  • Expected number of sessions

  • Justification of medical necessity

🌐 Online psychotherapy

  • Online therapy services (such as BetterHelp) can be covered

  • The treatment must be provided by a licensed doctor or therapist
