It offers a benefits package that can compete with any long-term international health insurance, which means it also offers coverage for mental health insurance.
Genki Explorer covers initial outpatient treatment of mental illnesses up to €1,500 per year, and emergency inpatient treatment of first-time mental or emotional disorders up to €20,000 per year.
Important to know is that only between 3-5 initial sessions necessary to reach a diagnosis are covered, meaning only first-time mental or emotional disorders. The treatment does not include psychotherapy.
Online services such as BetterHelp can also be covered as long as the treatment is conducted by a licensed doctor.
