Hiking is covered without altitude limit, however, from certain altitudes, the use of specialized climbing equipment will be a requirement, and that will transform the activity into mountaineering which is excluded from our cover.
Important to know also is that any search and rescue operations are excluded, only the medical transport itself is included.
Specialized equipment doesn't mean boots or poles, but means climbing ropes, ice axes, carabiners, accessory cords, slings, or oxygen tanks. As soon as anything is required it's not covered.
