Genki Resident has no overall waiting period.
Coverage for both outpatient and inpatient treatment — for any medical condition, whether mild or severe — starts from day one of your insurance.
⚠️ Exceptions
A few specific benefits have waiting periods:
Childbirth: 10-month waiting period
Orthodontics (not related to accidents): 10-month waiting period
Covered up to 50%
Only available with Genki Resident Premium
Outpatient psychotherapy: 10-month waiting period
Only available with Genki Resident Premium
Eyesight laser correction (LASIK): Covered after 2 years
Only available with Genki Resident Premium
All other covered treatments are eligible from the start date of your insurance.
