If you'd like to confirm which Genki insurance you're covered with, this guide shows you where to find your product name and what each product is designed for. Knowing your product helps you find the right help articles quickly and contact us with the right context.


βœ… The quickest way: check your Member Center

The product name is shown directly in your Member Center on the Overview page, next to your active subscription.

  • Log in

  • On the homepage, you'll see the name of your insurance under each insured person (e.g., "Genki Traveler" or "Genki Native")

  • If you have multiple active subscriptions (for example, one for yourself and one for a family member), each will be listed separately

Your insurance certificate

  • Download your certificate from the Member Center under Documents

  • The product name appears at the top of the certificate

Your most recent invoice

  • Invoices are available in the Member Center under Your Data β†’ Invoices

  • The product name appears on each invoice

The welcome email you received at sign-up

  • The subject line and body of the welcome email mention the product name

  • If you signed up a while ago, search your inbox for "Genki" to find it


🌍 The two Genki products

Genki currently offers two health insurance products. Here's how to tell them apart:

Genki Traveler β€” Travel health insurance for travelers and digital nomads

  • Monthly subscription, maximum 1 year

  • Designed for travelers, backpackers, digital nomads, and anyone exploring the world for up to a year

  • Covers new and acute illnesses or accidents while traveling abroad

  • Home country coverage limited to medical emergencies

  • 14-day waiting period at the start of the insurance

  • Single plan, with optional region upgrade for USA & Canada coverage

This is the product for travelers and digital nomads on contracts of up to a year. Learn more in the Genki Traveler collection.

Genki Native β€” International health insurance for long-term living abroad

  • Monthly subscription, minimum 12 months, with no maximum duration

  • Designed for expats, long-term remote workers, and people living abroad without a fixed return date

  • Broader long-term coverage

  • Includes a medical questionnaire at application

  • Two variants: Basic and Premium, with different levels of benefits

This is the product for long-term contracts of 12 months or more, with a medical questionnaire at sign-up. Learn more in the Genki Native collection.
